NEW CARPET of SNOW ALYSSUM * EASY TO GROW: Alyssum is a fragrant annual flower that is popular for rock gardens, borders and walks. Alyssum withstands cool temperatures and the pure white flowers bloom early in your organic garden or flower bed. New Carpet of Snow Alyssum is low growing and deer resistant.

SOWING ... Sow alyssum seed outdoors as soon as the ground can be worked, or as late as midsummer. May be started indoors in March. Place seeds 1/2 inch apart in rows 4 to 6 inches apart. Barely cover seed with fine soil, well pressed down. Keep soil moist until seeds sprout.

THINNING ... When alyssum plants are 2 inches tall, thin or transplant 6 to 8 inches apart in the row.

GERMINATION ... Alyssum seed germinates in 10 to 15 days depending on soil temperature and weather conditions.

REMARKS ... Alyssum goes well with Pansies, Calendula and Lobelia as well as dwarf Marigolds and dwarf Zinnias.

LOW GROWING * EASY TO GROW: Saxatile Alyssum flower is a low growing variety of Alyssum which make it ideal for borders, rock gardens, or bedding. These Alyssum plants are covered with golden blossoms from early Spring into June. Alyssum blooms second season after sowing.

SOWING ... Sow Alyssum seeds in early Spring or as late as July. Cover seed 1/8 inch with fine soil, well pressed down. Do not cover seeds deeply.

THINNING ... Thin or transplant to 4 inches apart when plants are 3 inches tall. Alyssum plants may also be lifted and divided after blooming.
